What is ScrapeOps?

ScrapeOps aggregates 20+ third-party proxy providers through a Proxy API Aggregator that handles JavaScript rendering and JS snippet execution and returns rendered HTML. A separate residential Proxy Aggregator is billed by bandwidth (GB). The company also runs a scraper operations dashboard for job scheduling and deployment via GitHub or SSH, server provisioning, real-time monitoring, error and CAPTCHA-ban detection, data-quality validation, alerts, and automated health-check reports.

Our verdict

Routing requests through 20+ underlying providers under one API, then pairing that with an ops dashboard for scheduling and monitoring, covers more of the scraping workflow than a bare proxy API does. Reliability and pricing still depend on whichever third-party provider a given request lands on, and there's no disclosed funding or independent coverage to gauge the company behind it.

Web scraping APIs take a URL and return the page, hiding the parts that break at scale: proxy rotation, headless browsers, CAPTCHA handling, and retries. Teams reach for them when maintaining their own scraping infrastructure stops being worth the engineering time.
