What is SOAX?
SOAX is a London-based proxy and web-data access platform founded in 2019. It offers residential, mobile, and datacenter proxy networks across 195+ locations with HTTP/HTTPS/SOCKS5 support over TCP/UDP. SOAX also runs a Web Data API (Web Scraper API and SERP API) that returns HTML, JSON, Markdown, or screenshots with automatic proxy rotation, browser emulation, and JS rendering. A "Headful Browser" product adds an edge-distributed browser runtime. The company reports over 5,000 customer teams and around 50 employees as of mid-2026.
Our verdict
SOAX suits teams that want a single vendor for proxy access and a scraping/SERP API, rather than combining separate providers. Its seed-stage funding and headcount are smaller than the market leaders, which may matter for buyers weighing long-term vendor stability.
Categories:
Proxy networks sell access to large pools of IP addresses across residential, datacenter, ISP, and mobile types. They are the layer underneath most large scraping operations, deciding whether a request looks like a real user or a bot. These are the proxy-first vendors serp.fast leaves out and webscrape.dev covers in full.

How SOAX compares
Bright DataBright Data is the largest proxy network competitor, with a similar mix of residential, mobile, and datacenter proxies plus its own scraping APIs.
OxylabsOxylabs sells a comparable range of residential, mobile, and datacenter proxies plus scraper APIs. It is a natural second quote for buyers comparing SOAX.
WebshareWebshare is a lower-cost proxy network for teams that want datacenter and residential IPs without SOAX's broader Web Data API and Headful Browser product line.
